We are Monica Rossi and Annabelle James, and we are obsessed with shoes and bags. That is why we decided to create our own brand. We work with experienced fashion designers and family-run businesses from Milan, Italy. We try to use locally sourced materials as much as possible. While many brands claim to make their shoes by hand in Italy, they often only assemble the shoes there and send them abroad for stitching and finishing touches. Our entire collection is made in Italy from start to finish!
Where we are now
Since 2019, the ladies Nino live and work in Florence, Italy. Here they can find the fashion inspiration they need to create a new collection, relax and practice the Italian way of life.
Recycled leather
The Nino ladies have made it a core principle to use only 100% recycled leather. In this way, old leather shoes and clothing get their renewed glory and the animal raw material is used in a much more responsible way.
Only paper packaging
When you buy a pair of Nino shoes or a handbag, you will receive it in paper packaging. We stopped using plastic-based shipping materials in 2015, and we are proud of that.
Top-down manufacturing
Nino's main factory - where 85% of the brand's collection is manufactured - is located in the heart of Milan's industrial area. The factory includes all production levels under the same roof, in order to minimize Nino's environmental footprint.
Hospitable local artists
Nino's final designs in each collection are the result of a collaboration between numerous local artists from Milan and Florence, each bringing their own x-factor to the mix, making the Nino brand truly unique.
